The defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers have been dealing with too many injuries this season.
Quarterback Brock Purdy missed the Niners’ Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers as he nursed a shoulder injury. Brandon Aiyuk appeared in just seven games before an ACL injury forced San Francisco to bench receiver. Wide receiver Christian McCaffrey missed several games at the start of the season. Pass rusher Nick Bosa and dual-threat receiver Deebo Samuel also missed time due to injuries this year. 2024
Fred Warner has been one of the key players who has kept his enthusiasm in each of the Niners’ games so far this year, however the three-time All-Pro linebacker’s availability this season hasn’t come without a few challenges. last Wednesday Warner revealed that he has been battling a painful ankle injury since late September.

Warner said he suffered the injury in the first half of the Week 4 game against the New England Patriots. He remained on the Niners sideline for the second half of the game.

“It’s something I deal with every game,” Warner said. “I was on that table before every game and made it come up every game to be able to rotate. But it’s not an excuse. It is just the way it is. That’s the thing with the NFL, you can’t be healthy. You have to get out there. You have to figure out how to proceed. Play at a high level and win every week.”
Warner has been listed as a limited participant in only one practice since his ankle injury. Injuries may hinder Warner at times this season, though. But he still had a productive season. The defensive player has 84 tackles and two interceptions this season.
Warner suggested he would be willing to continue playing through this year’s pain. and acknowledged the low possibility of sustaining the injury as he continues to play.
“Every time you break a bone If you keep playing Bones are often unable to heal themselves,” Warner said. “Then we must continue fighting.”
