A Maryland inmate is suspected of killing another inmate in his own cell.
Maryland State Police said a homicide investigation is underway at the North Branch Correctional Institution in Cumberland. After Robert Warren, 28, was found dead on Monday.
“The suspect, a prisoner, has been identified. He has not been charged at this time. and will not be identified until charges are filed,” State Police said.
North Branch Correctional Institution is the highest security facility in Allegheny County.
