The Onimusha series, the demon slayer of the samurai era, is returning with a new game coming in 2026.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had anything new with Capcom’s Onimusha series, but the developer is bringing back the demon-slaying samurai adventure. And we got our first look at it tonight: Onimusha: Way of the Sword is a new entry into the series. This time we only have the movie, but Capcom confirmed that the game is planned for 2026.
Capcom released the first trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword at The Game Awards 2024, although the trailer focused primarily on the movie. But we also get to see how Samanosuke Akechi wears his mysterious gloves. He also duels with demon samurai, killing them and allowing the gauntlet to consume their souls. as it should be
