American team fans can now eat American nuggets.
The Dallas Cowboys are getting their own chicken nuggets. Just in time for Thanksgiving.
Made by Arkansas-based Tyson Foods, the chicken nuggets are shaped like the team’s signature star logo. (See the video at the top of this article.)

The star-shaped Nuggets are making their debut at AT&T Stadium during Thursday afternoon’s game against the New York Giants.
Tyson has made the Nuggets inspired by teams before, choosing his hometown Arkansas Razorbacks to be his first collegiate representative. It is designed in the shape of a pig mascot.
But this is the first time an NFL team has its own Nuggets.
“There are a lot of ideas being thrown around and thrown around. Buildings using various shapes that we can do,” Kristina Lambert, senior vice president of poultry at Tyson, told Fox News Digital.

“But it was a natural fit for us between our two legacy companies and the family connection to continue the Cowboy Nuggets.”
Team owner Jerry Jones grew up in Arkansas. and was a close friend of the late Don Tyson, who served as president and CEO of Tyson Foods from 1967 to 1991.
The indulgent and delicious “married chicken” has “definitely worked,” says its family-minded creator.
Cowboys fans who can’t attend a game at AT&T Stadium this season can still get a taste of the Nuggets. It is available only at grocery stores in the Dallas area.

Although Tyson is known for making dinosaur-shaped nuggets marketed to children, Cowboys nuggets aren’t just for kids.
Lambert said adults are “Eat the nuggets again” or “Eat more because we gave them more ways to enjoy them.”
The edges of the stars are “More crunch”
The shape is as much a part of the appeal as the flavor, Lambert said, noting that the star-shaped nuggets have “Crispy on the outside” resembles dinosaur nuggets.

She said the edges of the stars “More stomping than that.”
“There’s little about the shape that affects[it]… for those of us who like texture,” Lambert said.
Tyson also pledged to donate $1 to the Salvation Army for every purchase of a star-shaped nugget at stores and in stadiums, up to a maximum of $100,000.

“In the spirit of giving and at this time of year … but also giving back to those who serve the community in that way. I think it’s personally very exciting for me and many of the team members around here,” Lambert said.

“I would say there are definitely discussions,” Lambert said, hinting at the possibility.
