Day 11 of the 2024 Space Telescope Advent Calendar: A Deep Gaze Through Time International team of astronomers uses the James Space Telescope Webb in detecting five young, massive star clusters in the cosmic gem arc. (SPT0615-JD1), a strongly lensed galaxy that glowed when the universe was about 460 million years old, looks back in 97 percent of cosmic time.
