Day 8 of the 2024 Space Telescope Advent Calendar: Mysterious Nebula Details of the complex structure within the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372) have been revealed in images of the Keyhole Nebula. which was obtained from the Hubble Space Telescope. This image features a large sphere that is part of the Keyhole Nebula. The region, approximately 8,000 light-years from Earth, lies next to the famous variable star Eta Carinae, which is out of view in the upper right corner.
