49ers’ Deommodore Lenoir fires teammate who was suspended for refusing to enter game: ‘Lost all respect’

Demodore Lenoir, defensive back for San Francisco. 49ers has set fire to teammate De’Vondre Campbell after the defenseman was banned for refusing to play last week.

The 49ers banned Campbell for three games over the incident. Lenoir didn’t hold back when asked for his thoughts on the matter on Monday.

“When he first signed the contract I thought in my head that We have another person we can add to the defense that can contribute,” Lenoir recalled. NBC Sports Bay Area– “The fact that that thing happened And he did that. I just lost respect.”

Campbell was brought onto the team in the offseason as fellow linebacker Dre Greenlaw recovered from a torn Achilles in the Super Bowl.

Greenlaw returned to Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams but began to feel pain in his Achilles in the third quarter. When the 49ers told Campbell to come into the game, he refused.

Lenoir said he thought it was “crazy” to quit the team while they were in the trenches.

“I have never been a part of anything like that. I have too much love for the game. There was too much pride to tell the coach I wasn’t going to compete,” Lenoir said. “I’m someone who plays 110% every play, so if I’m injured and the people behind me don’t support me and can’t go in or don’t want to go in. I feel like that is cancer for the team”

It’s been another year for San Francisco. The team had high hopes this season with Christian McCaffrey and Brandon Aiyuk re-signing, however, the offseason chaos trickled into the regular season with losses piling up.
