Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound brings the series back to side-scrolling action platformers.

Ninja Gaiden is a name we haven’t heard of in a while in an official capacity. And it’s not in the traditional side-scrolling capacity. Dotemu, Koei Tecmo, and The Game Kitchen (the team behind Blasphemous) are planning to fix that. They have announced a new 2D pixel game in the series, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound.

The first reveal of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound was released at The Game Awards 2024, showing off an animated trailer with clean animation reminiscent of the launch of the first NES game, then moving into some action platforming. Fast and stylish side-scrolling pixel art. You can see it in action below.
