Phil Robertson is facing a difficult road with his health. But he has family and faith supporting him.

“It’s like accelerating. and caused problems for his entire body. And he has early stages of Alzheimer’s. So if you combine those things, He would have really bad symptoms. He is struggling,” he continued.
His son, Willie Robertson, spoke to Fox News Digital by phone and clarified that Phil is “struggling with a lot of things right now.”

‘DUCK DYNASTY’ STAR PHIL ROBERTSON DIAGNOSED WITH Alzheimer’s Disease
“He has a blood disease. And then he had mental problems that may have been early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. (on the set)… and may be short-term Because of his blood,” Willie explained, “and there might have been a stroke. So we are still investigating the whole matter. But then he had back problems. He cracked his back. And that’s what hurts, so he is fighting a lot of things at the same time.”
Willie said each day Phil’s back pain was the biggest issue affecting his overall well-being.
“Especially in any situation. Whenever he gets up from a sitting or lying position, (it) causes him a lot of stress as well. And it was very painful,” he said.
“There are still many things we are considering. By trying different medications, and again, the problem of back pain becomes a little more difficult. Because that seemed to dominate his entire day- Today was just that. So we tried to strengthen his back. so that he could move. We have seen many doctors and (are) getting the best care we can. And the best we can do is try and figure out what happens next.”

The “Duck Dynasty” star did not reveal specific details of the blood disease. but said it made his father produce “Too much blood” causes it to thicken and can lead to the mini-stroke he suffered from.
“It’s difficult with the mental aspect,” Willie said. “It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what these causes are. Especially at the first signs. It is difficult to determine brain damage from a stroke. or Alzheimer’s disease.”
He added: “I know that is in their family. Other siblings There is the same story as well. This has happened to almost all of his siblings who have died.”
According to Willie, Phil also had an “enlarged spleen, which could press on his stomach. and may cause cravings for certain foods.”
“He broke his back and that’s where the pain was, so he was battling a lot of things at the same time.”
On Unashamed , Jase said Phil wasn’t “hungry at all” and had to “make himself eat.”
“There are a couple of issues we are trying to solve. Which may be the source of the problem. It can be a pain. But also the blood disorders that cause it are some of the things that can be managed. That too,” Willie said.

‘DUCK DYNASTY’ STAR PHIL ROBERTSON forces himself to eat as he battles Alzheimer’s disease, plans to ‘Keep the faith’
But the family is doing their best to feed their patriarch, and Willie revealed: “I just got a message from him to bring him more food. He seems to like my cooking.”
“I make hamburgers. I’ve made a few freshwater shrimp dishes. I used to make everything I thought he liked and ate before. I don’t know if it will be as delicious as mom’s, but I’m trying my best,” the 52-year-old recalled, adding that Phil couldn’t. “Normal can do what he normally does for his food.”

The family was able to deal with Phil’s health problems. Ask for help when the first signs that might indicate Alzheimer’s disease begin.
“We noticed some problems. So we started taking him to the doctor. and trying to determine exactly what was wrong,” Willie said.
Willie said the family began noticing problems with Phil’s memory and had him examined by a doctor. (AP)

“It’s hard to know if someone is getting old and forgetting. Or has there actually been any damage? And that is what we are trying to find out.”
Willie says “some days are good and some days aren’t” for Phil, but they try. “Talk to him as normally as possible.”
“He still quotes the Bible and still talks about his faith in God. So I think that was comforting and something he hasn’t lost.”
Phil’s wife and Willie’s mother “Miss Kay” is dealing with some of her own health problems stemming from a broken foot over the summer. which affects her movements
Willie said she hopes she can help more. But at the same time The couple, who have been together for nearly 60 years, spent some quiet time together.

“They were both down there, in the same spot, they were sitting on chairs doing the same thing, so they were definitely friends.”
Despite his illness, Phil is “as sharp as ever” when it comes to his faith and knowledge of the Bible.
“He went back there. So we found those things that seemed to give him comfort,” Willie said. “He still quoted the Bible and still talked about his faith in God. So I think that was comforting and something that he hasn’t lost.”
“He was unable to speak like he used to and teach in class. So he’s kind of taken a break from that and his podcast and stuff, but it’s still going strong and important to him. He just couldn’t always express himself and The idea I thought he wanted to do.”

Willie continued. “His faith was an important part of his life. Life is short and temporary. And he knew this all along. And we always have that eternal view, indeed, of life itself. We’re not sad at all. We realize that this is what is happening in the world. And we deal with it.”

And faith is helping the whole family through this difficult time.
“During this time That’s where the faith element really steps up,” Willie said. “This is who we are. This is what he lives for and for the hope that there is something beyond that, so he is definitely a testament to that. Even where he lives now.”
