Police in Aurora, Colorado, arrested five more immigrants in an armed home invasion and kidnapping that happened early Tuesday morning.
That brings to 19 immigrants detained in the incident, which involved two victims who were beaten, tied up and kidnapped in suburban Denver.
An ICE spokesperson told Fox News Digital 16 of those detained are Venezuelan nationals in the United States without authorization and “suspected of being members or associates of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang.”
Tren de Aragua, or TdA, is a violent international criminal group that has been terrorizing Aurora residents for over a year.

ICE officials said the 16 suspects “will remain in ICE custody pending trial or a hearing before an immigration judge.”
Todd Chamberlain, Chief of the Aurora Police Department Said on Tuesday that home invasion “There is no doubt it was a gang incident.”
However, Joe Moylan, a representative for the Aurora Police Department, told Fox News Digital that police were still working to identify the suspect and could not officially confirm if the incident was gang-related.
Police were called to The Edge at Lowry Apartments, a residential complex in Aurora, just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in response to a report of an armed home invader. where the victim was assaulted and taken to another apartment in the same complex.

One person who died, a man, had a stab wound. Both victims are expected to survive but remain in the hospital for treatment.
Moylan said Aurora police received an additional warrant at the apartment Tuesday afternoon. As a result, they have taken five additional migrants for questioning. He said police are working with federal authorities. This includes Homeland Security investigators who are helping identify everyone involved.
Moylan said the Aurora Police Chief will likely address the incident further at another press conference once more details are confirmed.

Roger Hudson, a city councilman in Castle Pines, Colorado, who has been in contact with the apartment’s owner, told Fox News Digital that most people in the area believe Tren de Aragua is behind the incident. this Over the past few months, the gang has “been more powerful. more dangerous and more hopeless,” he said.
Hudson slammed the sanctuary policy passed by Colorado and the city of Denver. Which he said makes it harder for state and local law enforcement to protect Colorado residents from the likes of TdA.
“These policies make all of our communities less safe,” he said. “This is lawlessness in the Western world. And you can’t have that. That’s not who we are as a country. That is not who we are as a state.”
