There’s no easy way to say it: America’s farmers are in trouble.
Our farmers lost more than $30 billion this year. A new farm bill that would help them has stalled in Congress because of Democratic obstruction. Raw material costs have increased for four years. and excessive compliance with Biden-led regulations. This has led many family farms to the brink of extinction.
The good news is that America will soon have a farmer friend in the White House. President-elect Trump delivered victory after victory for our farming families during his first term. And I know that was one of his top goals in his second period. But as the old proverb says, Personnel is policy

TRUMP TAPS TEXAN BROOKE ROLLINS to serve as Secretary of Agriculture
I worked with Brooke in the White House. Where she and I are part of a group of women empowered by President Trump to fight for his America First vision as Director of the Domestic Policy Council and the Office of American Innovation. Brooke is a policy expert on a wide range of issues. and helped the president unleash the greatest economy in American history.
She has worked especially hard to roll back onerous regulations like the Waters of the United States policy, which President Obama wants to use to regulate every stream, creek, and pond in America.
Farming isn’t just intellectual for Brook. She grew up in a small farming community in Texas and comes from generations of hard-working American farmers. She studied agriculture at Texas A&M and spent the early part of her career fighting to protect farmers’ interests. She was part of 4-H and FFA and raised her four children.
US agriculture Set to be the next frontier in cybersecurity in the new year, experts, lawyers say
Recently, I joined Sen. John Boozman, Arkansas’ senior senator and chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, who was visiting farms in the Arkansas Delta. At the end of a long meeting with farmers So we sat at a roundtable in McGehee, Arkansas. I’ve known for some time that our farming families were struggling. But this incident made everything clear.
One by one, the farmers at the table told me how their neighbors and relatives had quit the farming industry and had to struggle to find work elsewhere. They discussed how the prices of everything from fuel to grain were rising. But the prices their row crops fetch in the market have not kept pace. They describe it as a generational crisis.

I have always believed that farming is more than just a business. Especially in a place like a small town in Arkansas, this is a way of life. It is the culture of the state. our history And what ties communities like McGehee together if our farmers disappear? Something so important to the soul of Arkansas and America will be gone with them.
Brooke understood that fact. And she’s ready to do something about it. I know that the first item on her to-do list is to work with the new Republican majorities in the House and Senate to pass a revised Farm Bill. This is a law that has not been thoroughly updated in ten years. I know she will work to fix red flag regulations that hold back our farmers. and turning difficult tasks into impossible tasks
I know she is committed to improving broadband and connectivity in our small communities, helping rural Arkansas connect to the world. And I know she will fight to achieve President Trump’s vision of American exceptionalism. In terms of food, energy and everything.
