House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, is stepping down from the committee’s top post after being term-limited. said his resolution is to use his new role as chairman emeritus. “To be a strong voice on foreign policy and national security problems”
On an individual level, McCaul told Fox News Digital that he also made a New Year’s resolution for “Exercise every day and spend time with the most important things in life, like family and spending time smelling the roses.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said her New Year’s resolution involves eating cleaner.

“I always say the Republican convention is one big family,” Fallon said. “We can be dysfunctional at times. But we are still one family. And my New Year’s resolution is that we can all sing from the same score enough to make a difference for the American people.”
House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris said, “My New Year’s resolution is to help make America healthy again. By driving our nutrition policy towards promoting healthy food choices. It starts with changes to the food stamp program (SNAP).”

On the Senate side, lawmakers passed a joint resolution to forward the GOP agenda.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said, “My New Year’s resolution is to tolerate less climate panic. and hasten the collapse of the administrative state.” Republicans will chair the Energy Committee in the new Congress.
Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., revealed his resolution is “Confirm all Trump nominees and secure our borders.”
