President-elect Trump canceled the latest round of ambassador nominations on social media Tuesday night. before issuing a warning to Senate Republicans about a potential deal with Democratic lawmakers.

Republican leaders began by nominating Herschel. Walker made his choice for U.S. ambassador. to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Walker, a staunch Trump ally; Running for United States Senate in 2022 as a candidate from Georgia.

“I am pleased to nominate Herschel Walker as United States Ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas,” Trump’s post began. “Herschel has spent decades serving as an ambassador for our nation’s youth. Men and women in the military and athletes both domestic and international”

Trump also called out Walker. Describing a former National Football League (NFL) player as “a successful businessman, philanthropist, former Heisman Trophy winner, and NFL Great,” the president-elect also praised Walker’s previous work. In the first Trump administration

“Nicole has brought art to people through her work leading the charity CANVAS Art and raising millions of dollars to help children. Neglected and abused as a board member of Places of Hope,” Trump wrote. “She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Art History and Studio Art. Congratulations Nicole!”

After the nominations were made Trump closed with a message warning Senate Republicans not to make a deal with Democrats on the nomination “snap” this month.

“To all Senate Republicans: There is no agreement with Democrats to expedite the nomination at the end of this session,” Trump wrote. “I have received the largest mandate yet. 129 years, I will appoint a very qualified person in January when I take the oath of office.”
