Informant accused of providing fake FBI information to Biden pleads guilty to four counts

Alexander Smirnov reached a plea deal with Special Counsel David Weiss’ office, agreeing to plead guilty to several counts.

The plea agreement noted that Smirnov agreed to “count two of the United States indictment against Alexander Smirnov…which charges defendants with creating false records and lying in a federal investigation…”

He also agreed to plead guilty to several counts of tax evasion.

Smirnov is accused of giving “False derogatory information to the FBI(.)”
