Jamie Foxx will speak about his mysterious health problems last year in the upcoming special “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…”
The Netflix special, which was filmed in Atlanta in October, had a live audience. One audience member, Demecos Chambers, told Fox News that Digital Foxx’s medical fears that headlines are shaking up in April 2023 are a serious situation.
Chambers said Foxx described him as “near death” after losing consciousness and entering a coma that lasted for several weeks.

“His health is very poor. It’s like Jamie is dying. His pulse dropped. Everything is getting worse To the point where the doctors and everyone were telling the family like, ‘Look, he might not make it out of this,'” Chambers told Fox News Digital.

At the time of the medical scare, Foxx was in Georgia working with Cameron Diaz for the upcoming Netflix film “Back in Action.”

“It is life-threatening. and not related to drugs And it’s serious. I don’t want to spoil it for everyone. But I would say it was something he was really talking about. The experience when he was working on a film set in Atlanta was sobering. He wakes up and he thinks he’s like, ‘Oh, I just put out the light or put it out for a minute and then wake up.’
“But he was like he woke up in a hospital bed … like, ‘Wow, I’m going to be here for a few hours.’ They were like, ‘No, Jamie, you’ve been here for weeks.’” Cher Mbers said.
“His health is very poor. It’s like Jamie is dying. His pulse dropped. Everything is getting worse To the point where the doctors and everyone were telling the family like, ‘Look, he might not make it out of this.’”
Chambers said one of Foxx’s daughters visited Foxx while he was in a coma and played his guitar for him. The actor is the father of Corinne and Anelise.

“And it got to the point where his daughter started coming to the hospital and playing the song on his guitar. That’s like a beloved song between him and her.”
“And ever since she started doing that. The pulse and everything else started to improve while he was in a coma, so the doctors couldn’t explain it. No one could explain what had happened. And even the daughter wasn’t really aware (of) what was going on. She was there to support her father in the way she knew was appropriate, and so they said the more she played, The more he began to recover, the better. From this coma to when he finally woke up,” Chambers said, without revealing which daughter he was referring to.

Chambers said Foxx told listeners that doctors informed him that he had “30% Chance of Survival” Chambers also recalled that Foxx brought in medical and rehabilitation staff at the end of the show.
Chambers describes a now-deleted selfie Foxx uploaded to social media of himself in the hospital. According to attendees at the event, Foxx uploaded a selfie looking “pale” to reassure fans that he was fine.
“So he decided. While in the hospital under the influence of drugs He decided to go to the hospital bathroom. and take selfies and post selfies,” Chambers said.
“So he posted a selfie. He looked very pale. You know, he was on drugs and everything. And he posted online like, ‘Hey guys, I’m fine,’ and he looked like a really haggard version. And everyone was like, ‘Oh my god, they cloned Jamie Foxx,’” he joked.
Although Foxx recounts some very serious medical scares, Chambers noted that some of the Netflix specials are funny.

“So he talked about that. And the whole thing is like it’s very honest and very serious and very funny, but at the same time. It just goes to show how much life a comedian can have, he said.
Netflix had no comment for Fox News Digital. A representative for Foxx did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

“I don’t remember anything,” Jamie told fans at the restaurant. “They told me I was in Atlanta. They told me that my sister and daughter They took me to the first doctor. And they said… ‘No’ give me a cortisone shot
“The next doctor said: ‘There’s something going on there.’ I wouldn’t say it on camera. But it is,” said Fox, nodding in deep thought.
