An accused father who was on the run and owed more than $100,000 in child support was arrested last week as he left a cruise ship in Miami. The official said

Dominic Weaver, who lives in Kentucky had been on the ship for more than 10 years when his vacation ended after he was detained and brought back to Louisville, WDRB-TV reported.

Detectives from the local child foster care department flew to Miami. and eventually brought Weaver back to the Bluegrass State.

“I don’t know when he left. But he fled the jurisdiction of the court. and from the day of judgment until today and even today He has not received a penny in child support,” said Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell.

Mexico will impose a tax on cruise ship visitors starting in 2015.

Weaver, 47, owes approximately $114,000 to $120,000 in child support, according to O’Connell.

O’Connell said Weaver has a total of four cases with child support.

“Two others are ready to be retried for additional crimes,” O’Connell said.

He said he plans to ask the judge to revoke Weaver’s original prison sentence. and asked that he be sentenced to four years in prison.
