A Massachusetts woman who went missing on Christmas Eve was found dead in a frozen lake. Authorities believe she fell into the freezing water while walking her dog.
Owen Kasozi, 30, was last seen entering the JC Phillips Nature Reserve in Beverly. Massachusetts It was around 3:00 PM on Tuesday and officers launched a multi-agency search to find her. When you don’t come back The Essex County District Attorney’s Office said in release–
“On behalf of the Beverly Police Department I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Owen Kasozi,” said Beverly Police Commissioner John G. Lelacher. “I want to thank all the first responders who were able to gain some degree of closure in the family’s case after this difficult search process.”

Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said authorities believe the 30-year-old girl was walking or running along the trail with her puppy. Once she fell into the frozen lake and couldn’t get out. Temperatures were below freezing on Tuesday.

Authorities do not suspect foul play at this time. But Kasozi’s official cause of death is under investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), the DA’s office said. Fox News Digital has contacted OCME for comment.
