Notre Dame has forever been the answer to trivia.
The Fighting Irish became the first team to win a College Football Playoff game at home with a 27-17 victory over Indiana in the first round of the new 12-team playoffs.

Indiana State’s offense continued to struggle out of the locker room, punting on both its third and first quarter drives of the final quarter.
Leonard ran in for a score to give Indiana a 27-3 lead, but the Hoosiers scored two more touchdowns. in the second time With 25 seconds remaining, they went two plays to make it a one possession game. But it was not successful. All but a ball game for the Irish.

The Hoosiers scored 14 points in the fourth quarter. But it’s still a little too late.
Leonard completed 23 of 32 passes for 201 yards – Jordan Faison led the Irish with 7 receptions for 89 yards.
The other three first-round games will be played throughout Saturday.
