Authorities were notified of the situation at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time. According to Oakland police, two police cars belonging to the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Police Department were involved in the accident.

“Several vehicle occupants were injured during the collision,” an OPD spokesperson said. “First responders responded to the scene and transported the individual to a local hospital for treatment.”
