Peach Bowl organizers made the announcement Monday.

“We love the great tradition of college football. And there is no doubt that Bevo is one of the best. But the unfortunate truth is that there is not enough space next to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” their statement read.

“Due to the limitations of the stadium and the importance given to the safety of Bevo, the players, CCTV, support staff, supporters and photographers, we are unfortunately unable to have Bevo on the field in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. CFP at The Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl”

The Peach Bowl is scheduled to take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is home to the SEC Championship between Texas and Georgia. Bevo was also banned from the event.

Bevo had a bit of trouble with Uga, Georgia’s mascot in the past. The mascot broke up. Passing through obstacles at the Sugar Bowl that year and nearly trampled dogs and spectators at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Texas had a 38-24 first-round win over Clemson. Evers was 17 of 24 with 202 passing yards and a touchdown. Jaydon Blue and Quintrevion Wisner each rushed for more than 100 yards.
