Rep. Victoria Spartaz Demands President Johnson’s ‘Endorsement’ ‘Won’t sell us out into the swamp.’

As House Speaker Mike Johnson tries to keep his hand on the gavel, Rep. Victoria Spartaz, R-Ind., is calling for “guarantees” that Johnson “won’t sell us out in the swamp.”

Johnson, who received the speaker’s gavel last year. It received a big boost Monday when Trump assured him he would remain in the role.

“I understand why President Trump supported Speaker Johnson as he did Speaker Ryan, which is extremely important. @SpeakerJohnson Won’t sell us to the swamp,” Spartaz said in a post on X.

“President Trump can only save America if we have a speaker with courage, vision and a plan, and a public commitment to the American people that he will help deliver President Trump’s agenda of catastrophizing. How can a swamp,” she added in another tweet.

Spartz had previously issued a statement on Monday. She called out Congress for wasteful spending. and called for a plan to accomplish President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda. which she said she had never seen from current House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Trump gave Johnson his “full and complete endorsement” ahead of his speaker battle.

“Congress has abandoned its constitutional duty to the American people to oversee the appropriate use of hard-earned tax dollars,” Spartz declared in a statement. “Our next speaker must show courageous leadership to get our country back on track before the ‘Titanic’ hits the iceberg whenever it does.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Johnson’s office but had no comment.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump described Johnson as a “good, hard-working, religious man” and declared, “He will do the right thing. And we will continue to win.” Mike has my complete and utter endorsement. Lies!!!”

President Johnson thanked Trump in a post on Americans demand and deserve that we waste no time. Let’s go to work!”

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who said he would not vote for Johnson, remains speaker. Still maintained his position Monday after Trump’s certification.

“I respect and support President Trump. But Mike’s certification His Johnson would be as effective as his endorsement of Chairman Paul Ryan. We’ve seen Johnson work with Democrats to send money to Ukraine. Allow spying on Americans And ruined the budget,” Massie tweeted.
