Ryan Reynolds opens up about the future of the ‘Deadpool’ franchise
Recently sat down and talked with young actor Andrew Garfield for Variety actors about actors Reynolds shared why he thinks “Deadpool” resonated with audiences, saying it might be because He called it “scarcity and surprise,” before adding that he didn’t know if more would be available.
“It has been six years since the last installment. And part of the reason is that it consumed my whole life,” he told Garfield when asked about plans for more films in the franchise. “I have four children. And I don’t want to be the one who’s missing (a father). I almost died inside when I saw their faces. And they play sports or do something. And I missed it.”

Reynolds added that he’s not sure “what the future of ‘Deadpool’ is,” but he’s pleased with the final product. By explaining that he “Make the movie a complete experience” instead of using it as “Advertisement for another story” ” “
In other parts of the interview Reynolds reflects on what led him to executive produce the film series. and later co-wrote the second and third parts as well. He talks about the making of the film. It was praised as “incredibly fulfilling” by critics. But it doesn’t attract the attention of the audience. saying that he must “Find a way to work on both sides of the room.”

“It was a terrible feeling,” Reynolds explains. “And when you try to express your point of view and say something reasonable like, ‘Let’s stop spending on the show and let’s spend on the characters,’ or ‘Why are we spending all this money on special effects when we Can write ?,’ and that was dismissed.”

He continued: “If that happens a few times, you say, ‘I own the bomb,’ if I’m going to blow it up. I want to be the architect of my own death. I don’t want to be a passenger on someone else’s jet.”
“Deadpool & Wolverine” was the most anticipated movie of the summer when it debuted in July. It grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

“I don’t know if Electra and I wanted an ending. But Shawn and Ryan knew,” Garner shared on Instagram about reprising the character. “They are talented in many ways, but seeing and uplifting the people around them is their number one priority.”

She continued: “Shauna (her stunt performer) and I were in heaven on set with them. Along with my old friend @thehughjackman, @dafnekeen, @channingtatum, @realwesleysnipes Filming the fights was a lot of fun. Being there together was truly a dream. I’m so proud of my friends. And I’m grateful to be there for them. Thank you, man. But it’s a good backup until I figure out what it can do.”
