President-elect Trump named NHL legend Wayne Gretzky as his running mate to replace Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister of Canada in a social media post on Wednesday.
And it appears that Wayne’s wife, Janet Gretzky, received the message.
Janet Gretzky shared Trump’s Truth Social post on her Instagram Stories and posted a link.

“I just dropped the great Wayne Gretzky, as he is known in ice hockey circles. I said, ‘Wayne, why don’t you run for Prime Minister of Canada? Soon to be known as Governor General of Canada, you can win easily, you don’t even need to campaign,” Trump wrote.
“He has no interest. But I think Canadians should start a DRAFT WAYNE GRETZKY movement. It would be so much fun to watch!”
Trump’s post comes as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faces pressure to resign. at the beginning of last month Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigns from Trudeau’s cabinet. at the same time Opposition Leader Jagmeet Singh calls for Trudeau to resign

“The great state of Canada is shocked when Minister of Finance resigns or is fired by Governor Justin Trudeau,” Trump posted on his Truth Social, mocking Trudeau after previously suggesting that Canada should become the 51st state in the United States.
“Her behavior was extremely toxic. Nor is it conducive to making deals that benefit unhappy Canadian citizens. You won’t miss it!!!”
Trump also teased Canadians about adding the country as the 51st state of the United States.
“The Great One” appears to be supporting Trump amid victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

He was spotted last month at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida, after Trump won the presidential election. They wore “Make America Great Again” caps.
