As the story goes, seven-and-a-half months pregnant, Laci Peterson disappeared from the home she shared with Scott on Christmas Eve in 2002. Several months later, in April 2003, a pedestrian discovered the body of her unborn son. She is rotting in San Francisco Bay.

Authorities discovered Laci’s body in the bay soon after. It was just a few miles from where her husband went solo fishing on Christmas Eve.

Peterson claims he came home to find a vacant house. and reported his wife missing the next day. Moreover, his sudden decision to bleach his hair and police speculation that he was carrying his brother’s passport to escape to Mexico. to coincidences that have spurred more investigations

Things that are not included in the equation Peterson’s lawyer said: There are a number of reports and records. and mention of a burglary nearby that may have occurred while Laci was still alive.

“Mr. Peterson has waited 20 years for a police report. Audio and video recordings should be provided,” said Paula Mitchell, executive director of The Innocence Project, which took up the matter earlier this year. said during the court proceedings according to Los Angeles Times– “We are eager to proceed with our investigation.”

Peterson was convicted of murder in 2004 and received the death penalty the following year. But that sentence was reinstated in 2020, making him serve life in prison.

“Six days after Laci disappeared about 100 miles away… (she) picked up the phone and called the Modesto police. She received information that might finally give them a motive,” Pirro recalled.

She met him romantically while he was operating under the pretense of being single. She learned that she was Peterson’s unwilling mistress in his affair. And the police brought her in to ask for help. They asked her to record a conversation with Peterson.

“The recording helps that Scott is not only a cheater. But he is also a compulsive liar,” Pirro said.
