Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., acknowledged that Democrats have major problems with border security. As a result, Republicans control both Congress and the White House.
Fetterman did not draw attention to his party reflections during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.”
“One area where we have lost ourselves is the border,” the Democratic senator said. “And I used to be in this network. Several months ago I said, ‘Hey, you know, it’s not controversial that our party supports immigrants. But we need safe borders.’ And when we ask or demand that people don’t believe what they see. and see numbers like that That’s not a problem. It’s like you lose about 100% of that.”
“I tried to explain – you have up to 300,000 people – encounters – per month, and I applied that to Pennsylvania, and I was like, that’s the size of Pittsburgh showing up in one. months,” Fetterman told host Gillian Turner. “It’s like what’s going to happen to those people? If we want them to (have) the American Dream for those people. How do we deliver that? Where are they going? And we can’t pretend that that doesn’t matter. And we have to fix that.”
Democrats often describe themselves as the anti-war party. But Fetterman appears to suggest the party lost ground when progressives criticized Israel’s war on the terrorist group Hamas after the Oct. 10, seven attacks. Fetterman said Israel’s efforts Against Hamas and Ukraine’s struggle with Russia are two “just” wars that are still ongoing.

As for Israel Fetterman said he “Never supported a ceasefire. And that is the right thing.”
“I said I would follow Israel. and because they refused to cease fire So they eliminated and destroyed Hamas. and Hezbollah Hezbollah should be like the ultimate bada. in the middle east And now they It’s the Keystone Police Group. And Iran has just been exposed. As you know They can’t fight about anything. That is an important development here,” Fetterman said.
“And with respect to Ukraine Ukraine was invaded, and for me, it’s about standing by democracy,” he continued, “and I’m very supportive of that assistance. And I don’t understand if the other party will stop giving that kind of help. That’s a contradiction. But I made my support for Israel and Ukraine very clear.”

Turner noted that President Donald Trump’s transition team has praised his foreign policy and national security team as the most supportive of Israel in American history. That includes Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., has been chosen as secretary of state. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., has been named U.S. ambassador. To the United Nations, Mike Huckabee has been chosen as U.S. Ambassador. to Israel and Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., as national security adviser.
“In terms of the upcoming administration. I like what I see in terms of strong, very strong support for Israel,” Fetterman said. adding that Israel has created “Great progress… create long-term peace by destroying Hamas, Hezbollah, and showing that indeed And Iran has no ability to cause any damage.”

He said he would support Rubio. And it may be that Dr. Mehmet Oz, whom Fetterman defeated during the contentious Senate race
Fetterman said Sunday that he knew. “It’s pretty ugly” in his rivalry with Oz, but he “has no bitterness whatsoever” and is “open to discussion,” adding, “I’m not sure why it’s controversial.”

“I will not hate in advance. I will not hate in advance many of these things. And I don’t hate it up front,” Fetterman said. “I would have an open conversation with anyone. That I am ready to participate in that conversation.”
