A police press release said two local politicians were also arrested. and 1.8 million euros ($1.89 million) were seized in the operation. The statement did not name any individuals. that was the target of the attack

The alleged gang was involved in issuing €12 million worth of invoices for non-existent transactions. This allows colluding operators to reduce their income and evade taxes in exchange for commissions paid to criminal groups.
