Dick Van Dyke has escaped unharmed.
The legendary 98-year-old actor’s home is one of many at risk due to wildfires in Malibu. California Continuing to spread, Van Dyke shared an update with concerned fans on his Facebook account to let them know that he and his wife, Arlene Silver, had “evacuated safely.”
“Arlene and I were safely evacuated along with our animals. Except for Bobo, who escaped as we were leaving,” he wrote. “We are praying that he will be OK. And our community in Serra Retreat will be spared from these terrible fires.”
Fans rushed to the comments section to send prayers and well-wishes to the “Mary Poppins” star.
DICK VAN DYKE, 98, hopes fans remember one thing.
“Sending prayers for you and your family and friends. Prayers for emergency responders too!,” one fan wrote in the comments section.
“My heart goes out to you and everyone affected. Glad you all are safe. Hope BoBo gets help,” a second fan wrote.
A third person added: “So glad everyone is safe. Pray for you.”

According to Fox 11, the Franklin Fire began Monday at approximately 10:50 p.m. north of Pepperdine University and has grown to more than 2,800 acres.
“Arlene and I evacuated safely with our animals. Except for Bobo, who escaped as we were leaving. We are praying that he will be okay. And our community in Serra Retreat will be spared from these terrible fires.”

According to official reports The sheriff said during a press conference on Tuesday that More than 18,000 people and 8,100 buildings were affected, with 2,000 of those buildings under evacuation orders. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the LA County Fire and Sheriff’s Arson Teams.
In addition to Van Dyke, other famous people living in the area have evacuated. Including actress Mira Sorvino and singers Cher and Barbra Streisand.
A representative for Cher told The New York Times that she and her pet were staying at a hotel.
“All my Malibu friends and neighbors. I pray for your safety,” Sorvino shared on X, formerly Twitter. “We evacuated in the middle of the night. Children and pets all play a part! Scary time!!”
