If for some reason the GOP House majority breaks—and the majority is so narrow that those majority-destroying reasons will arrive like the Beltway pollen in April—a second reconciliation will not. exceed the line and a big tax increase will Hitting every business in America until January 1, 2026.

Small businesses need reassurance more than anything else. They cannot be sure of the effectiveness of their marketing or the best product mix. But they definitely want certainty about the tax code. The country’s private sector wants certainty about the tax code. as soon as possible and as much as possible Trump wants a second Trump boom. This is the kind of economy he was in charge of before Covid brought the world to a halt for two years.

It’s all ready for action, but the congressional GOP is hesitant to demand discipline from itself to do anything right now. It’s the biggest gamble I’ve seen since Leader McConnell announced there would be no hearings and no votes. to the nominee to replace Justice Scalia after the great man’s sudden death in early 2016.

McConnell rightly feels that the direction of the Supreme Court is an important issue that Americans care deeply about our fundamental trust in the Constitution as written and amended. McConnell made a big gamble, which Trump saw and raised with The names of possible nominees were revealed during 2016 and Barack Obama falsely called out the nominations of Merrick Garland, Trump and McConnell. (and the Constitution) win

However, the GOP majority in Congress is now showing signs of cowardice in the face of enormous opportunity. Senators and Representatives must focus and act to achieve huge victories now.
