Word of Sony’s interest in acquiring Kadokawa Group first emerged in mid-November, when Reuters first published a report on the matter, speaking to familiar sources. Sony owns a 2 percent stake in Kadokawa. and has invested significantly in the health and sustainability of FromSoftware as well. However, until now Sony has not officially spoken about this.
