Word of Sony’s interest in acquiring Kadokawa Group first emerged in mid-November, when Reuters first published a report on the matter, speaking to familiar sources. Sony owns a 2 percent stake in Kadokawa. and has invested significantly in the health and sustainability of FromSoftware as well. However, until now Sony has not officially spoken about this. With this confirmation At least we know that Sony is actually openly interested in Kadokawa. It is also worth noting that while Kadogawa do FromSoftware owns and has substantial investments in TV, anime, streaming, and other media in Japan.
