Glenn Jacobs, the former WWE superstar who became mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, said he would advise Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson against stepping into the political arena.
Jacobs shows up “Go ringside.” earlier this week and was asked about the possibility of Johnson , a WWE legend, movie star, and TKO board member, is trying his hand at politics.

“If I were him, I wouldn’t do it. Politics is an incredibly controversial and toxic topic right now,” Jacobs said. “Everyone likes Dwayne. No matter where you are politically. Because he is a great entertainer. And he is a good person.”
“It’s important to remember that no matter what you say in politics, 50% of people will disagree with you. And you will really tick off some people. I have to deal with that. Obviously, if I were him I would personally advise him not to do that.”
Johnson’s name has been floated as a potential presidential candidate. And at one point there was a desire to run for office. But he said in 2022, all of this must take a back seat to raising a family.

Jacobs said there are still ways to make an impact behind the scenes. And although Johnson has been a favorite in the past, But it won’t be the same if he steps into politics.
“What will happen is You have to make your fan base Almost half of you were suddenly alienated. This can be an uncomfortable place,” he added.
Johnson learned how toxic politics can be after he supported Joe. Biden to run for president in 2020, he told Fox & Friends in April that the endorsement was valid for him at the time. But he regrets the rift that has occurred.
“Am I going to do that again this year? That answer is no. I would never do that,” he told Fox News’ Will Cain at the time, “because what I realized that caused that then is what makes me cry for my courage then and now. which is the separation And that makes me.”
“After all those months and months. I started to realize, ‘Oh man, that’s incredibly divisive in our country.’ So I realized that now going into this election. I won’t do that. Because my goal is to bring our country together. There will be no certification.”

“It’s not that I’m afraid of it at all. But it’s just that I realized this level of influence. I will keep my politics to myself. And I think it’s between me and the ballot box.”
