The creators behind Ico are making a wild looking Sci-Fi game.

During tonight’s Game Awards, also known as the Geoff Keighley trailer (which is also the Game Awards). Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Creator Fumito Ueda showed off a few images of an as-yet-untitled sci-fi game featuring giant robots. Evil-looking dark energy cloud and people in cool space suits

Here’s a short teaser, featuring an ominous countdown and stunning visuals. Obviously, this is real gameplay, or at least in the engine. (According to the trailer’s description on YouTube, all footage was captured on a PC.)

The game is being developed by genDESIGN. In the trailer, we see a person climbing onto a giant machine. And it appears to fly above the machine’s head because it’s actually a giant spaceship…thing. I don’t know what happened. But it looks very cool!

Fumito Ueda is famous for directing and creating beloved PS2 games.
