Merriam-Webster’s 2024 Word of the Year is “polarization,” which it defines as “polarization.” “The division into two clearly opposite things” (the term “brain rot” overcomes it, but one wonders whether it is so among dictionary officials).
In fact This has been the word of the year since at least 2016. When President Trump won for the first time and the left went crazy.
Lefty in dictionary land couldn’t stand being teased and started playing word games almost immediately after his win. Even NPR noted in 2017 that “Merriam-Webster Dictionary trolls Trump on Twitter for months.”
The company’s wordplay is part of a larger leftist strategy to create new words or redefine existing words to fit the liberal narrative. We’ve seen examples over and over again over the years – “Borners,” “Latino,” and most recently “Women.”
CNN HOST wonders if Democrats should scrap ‘LATINX’ framework
Scripps National Spelling Bee, D-Embarrassment has released a list of third-grade words for its 100th anniversary contest, and “womyn” has been included as an acceptable alternative spelling for the actual word women. A Scripps spokesperson said, “All words used in the Scripps National program Spelling Bee is drawn from our official dictionary, Merriam-Webster Unabridged Dictionary.”
I think I’m shocked.. (Adjective: irritated by sudden mental or emotional disturbance.) But that’s really just propaganda. Even the leftist Urban Dictionary describes the word “woman” as “a term used by feminists who feel that the use of the word The ‘man’ in the word ‘woman’ makes the woman part man” (Scripps also approved “bazar” as an alternative to the bazaar which is very strange)
Even more controversial is the attempt to eliminate motherhood from our language. to appease transgender extremists In July 2022, NEA, the teachers union that hates America. Consider changing the language. They want to abandon the word “mother” and replace it with “Biological parents” should be changed to “father” “Parents who did not give birth” is because real parents Both father and mother Don’t like what NEA wants to do with their children.

That plan failed, and even the NEA had to realize how crazy it was.
A month later, the AP Stylebook decided that “phrases like ‘pregnant women’ or ‘people seeking abortions’ are acceptable when you want to include people who have those experiences but do not identify as women.”
Those and all sorts of other oddities are recognized by what is called science. everything since “Breastfeeding” instead of breastfeeding to stimulating officials “Avoid unnecessary gender-segregating language” is available on the NIH website. Employees should “use all or all instead of male and female. and uses dignitaries or persons instead of ladies and gentlemen.” The NIH is trying to put these words in the mouths of others. and provides guidance on its website with a clear link to the AP Stylebook.
Liberal media has defended or encouraged this nonsense, and they still do. CNN wrote that it was “a case of saying ‘pregnant’ and other gender-inclusive phrases.” The gender-inclusive phrase the story mentioned was “Owner of the penis” (you need to write your own joke for this I already wrote some and deleted them because I liked being hired.) The network published that article in May 2024.
Three ways the liberal news media lost the presidential election and deserve it
You might think that leftists would be bored with empty words. But that’s not the case. Look at the Latin nonsense words. Liberals created this word because they hated that the Spanish language had words denoting men and women. So they wanted a gender-neutral term for people of Spanish or Latin American descent. Despite years of effort, Pew Research reported in September that “4% of Latino adults say they use Latinx to describe themselves. This is a slight change from the 3% who said the same in 2019.”
Instead of giving up Leftists are just trying out new fake words. In April, Axios wrote, “Latino is the new Latinx.” That’s like saying Vice President Kamala Harris is Michael The new Dukakis Comparing one side to the other is not particularly useful.
The article asserts that “’Latino’ is a gender-neutral way of describing or referring to a person of Latino descent.” It is becoming increasingly popular on university campuses, in museums, and among researchers and the media.”

Not one of the groups actually mentioned. And are you Hispanic or Latino? Each is just another lefty ivory tower. So who do they claim to be the expert on? Mónica Trasandes “Director of Spanish Media and Representation at GLAAD” – Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation
Talk about not being able to read the room, the election, or even the dictionary.
And strangely, this article was published on Axios Latino, not Axios Latine or Latinx.

The push to the left for profanity makes me think of the most wonderful words Susie Dent could describe. She calls herself “That girl in the dictionary corner” and often posts obscure words from centuries past. Her one quote of the day since August has been, “‘Podsnappian’ (from Charles Dickens): blinked, pleased with himself. and believe that others should see things the way you do”
That sounds like the last word to me. It describes the syntax on the left aptly.
