After Haley Davidson tries to get LPGA card again. Golfers competing against Davidson want rule changes
Olivia Schmidt was highlighted by the Independent Women’s Forum in a new video this week. The video is titled “Tee Time: Keep Women’s Golf Female.”
“I think when you have a large organization protecting one person versus 400 others, that says a lot about who they are and how they organize themselves.” Schmidt said in the video.– “They are protecting the few from the many.”

The LPGA currently allows transgender athletes receiving hormone therapy to compete against biological women. The rule allowed Davidson to participate in events where Davidson was attempting to gain professional status on the women’s tour.
Schmidt wants those rules to be revised.
“The most important thing is that we can fight all we want. But the real change comes from the LPGA,” she said. “They are the only ones with the power to stop it. It is up to them to protect us.”
Smidt added, “One day, I want my children to be Mine chase their dreams. And none of these distractions stand in their way. I just pray that (policy) changes. And I pray that we’ll find a way to Find common ground on that and hope for the next generation of golfers.”

Nearly 300 players oppose Davidson’s inclusion in the LPGA qualifiers; Davidson failed to advance past the second stage, finishing 95th out of 190 golfers.
Davidson has been open about the change and has defended his ability to qualify to become a professional.
“Every year I play at Q School the players get longer and longer. To the point where I was consistently overtaken by 40 yards on the last lap yesterday by one player,” Davidson wrote in an Instagram post in August. “I actually love seeing it. Especially when their (sic) lies are so big that I’m ahead of everyone. This is very far from the truth and reality.”

“Clearly, conservative media must give credit to these incredible female athletes. Instead of insulting them and all their abilities in an attempt to attack transgender athletes.”
