Windows 11 update breaks Star Wars Outlaws and other big games

“After installing Windows 11 version 24H2, you may experience issues with some Ubisoft games,” reads the warning. On Microsoft’s website– “These games may become unresponsive while starting, loading, or during gameplay. In some cases, users may receive a black screen.” It lists the following games as “Incompatible with the latest update”

  • Assassin Creed Valhalla
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
  • Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier
  • Star Wars Outlaws
  • The origins of Assassin’s Creed

In the meantime, Ubisoft has released its own patch for Star Wars Outlaws In an effort to resolve the issue for anyone who already has the latest Windows 11 update installed, “In addition, we recently deployed a temporary hotfix (v1.4.1) for players who are experiencing issues playing on Windows 11 24H2,” the note reads.
