Star Wars Outlaws It finally arrived on Steam last week. Unfortunately, recent versions of Windows also have problems. This makes Open World Sci-Fi Adventure and other Ubisoft games unavailable. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is pausing updates for the time being.
“After installing Windows 11 version 24H2, you may experience issues with some Ubisoft games,” reads the warning. On Microsoft’s website– “These games may become unresponsive while starting, loading, or during gameplay. In some cases, users may receive a black screen.” It lists the following games as “Incompatible with the latest update”
- Assassin Creed Valhalla
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
- Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier
- Star Wars Outlaws
- The origins of Assassin’s Creed
If you detect a pattern there That goes to show that these are open Ubisoft games and are some of the publisher’s most popular games in recent years. Microsoft issued a compatibility hold to prevent this. The update rolls out to any PC with the above games installed and says it’s working with Ubisoft “to resolve the issue.”
In the meantime, Ubisoft has released its own patch for Star Wars Outlaws In an effort to resolve the issue for anyone who already has the latest Windows 11 update installed, “In addition, we recently deployed a temporary hotfix (v1.4.1) for players who are experiencing issues playing on Windows 11 24H2,” the note reads. An abbreviation of the patch reads. “Please note that you may experience performance issues while we work on a more permanent fix.”
It’s not clear how many players are affected by this issue. The Windows update began rolling out earlier this month. and before 21 November Star Wars Outlaws Available only through Ubisoft’s exclusive Ubisoft+ Launcher.
