A California man who was reported missing in 1999 has finally been reunited with his family. after his sister recognized a photo of him published in a USA Today article in April of this year. The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement on Facebook.
LCSO received a call from a woman who informed Deputy Sheriff Derek Kennemore that she had submitted the article. And it is believed that the man in this article is her brother. who had not been heard from since his disappearance 25 years ago.
A GoFundMe allegedly started by the man’s sister explains that the family has been searching for him since August 1999, when he disappeared without a trace.
“My name is Marcy. My little brother, Tommy, has been missing since August of 1999. He just disappeared without a trace. Even his car has never been found,” wrote Marcella (Marci) Nasseri.

Nasseri asked for Kennemore’s help in identifying the man. who was admitted to a hospital in the Los Angeles area According to the Sheriff’s Office
When Kennemore contacted him, he learned the man had been transferred to another hospital in July.
This man who does not use words It was later confirmed to be Nasseri’s brother. After detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit were able to scan his fingerprints,
Nasseri was delighted to make this discovery. said that she had followed “Unidentified corpse” all along
“On 22-11-2024, I followed up on the whereabouts of a living person. A photo of this person was published in USA News, asking the public if anyone could identify the man in the photo. which was found sitting on the curb in South LA. Long story short There’s a pairing going on! All this time, I’ve been searching for an unidentified corpse. I am so happy to find him alive!” according to the GoFundMe report.
She went on to explain that she was very far away from her brother’s location and was looking for any help. to help him until he can be medically transported While he is learning to do things in everyday life again
“I live 600 miles away in Lassen County. He’s in Lynwood, California. I began medical transport to a medical facility in Lassen County. All we knew was that he had just learned to walk. He can eat normal food and he doesn’t speak. I don’t have money for the things we need. I am sending him used men’s clothes in the mail. Because he likes to draw,” she wrote in the fundraiser letter.
