A car crashed into a crowd of people on a busy Bourbon street. Many people are expected to have died.

Authorities fear death after a sedan crashed into a group of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

The driver reportedly got out of the vehicle and fired the weapon. There were reports of a heavy police presence at the scene.

“There has been a mass casualty incident on Canal Street and Bourbon Street. Please leave the area,” NOLA Ready announced on social media.

The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Bourbon Street and the local Iberville news station. WGNO reports–
