A convicted felon is wanted after two children were found dead in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin officials are searching for a convicted felon. Two children and one adult were later found dead.

The New Lisbon Police Department says a child went missing Sunday night. and was last seen with 47-year-old Virgil G. Thew.

on Monday morning Police were notified that another child was missing.

A few hours later Authorities said two children and an adult were found dead inside a home on West Bridge Road.

The family of a woman who disappeared while on a cross-country holiday says mysterious text messages sent from her phone were unlike hers.

It is unclear if the two children found were the ones who had been reported missing.

Police officials identified Thew as a person of interest. He is wanted by Wisconsin Probation and Parole. and should be considered as “Armed and dangerous”

Parole records show he is currently on active community supervision. Thew was convicted of dozens of crimes. This includes possession of a gun as a felon, burglary, and theft.

He has been in and out of prison almost every year since 1995 and was released in 2012, according to records.

“If seen, do not confront or approach him,” officials wrote in a statement.
