China appears to have completed the maiden flight of its new sixth-generation fighter, marking a significant milestone in the ever-evolving fighter landscape.
Videos and photos from social media show the plane, which has never been seen before. Test flights are being conducted during daylight hours. Along with a two-seat Chengdu J-20S fighter jet, it also serves as a chase aircraft.
The plane took off in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China on December 1, September 26, the birthday of Mao Zedong, the founding father of the People’s Republic of China.
