Court issues arrest warrant for South Korean President Yoon

A South Korean court approved an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yul, who has been indicted and suspended from power on Tuesday. Of the decision to impose martial law on December 1, 3 investigators said that

The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials confirmed that the Seoul Western District Court approved the warrant.

This is the first arrest warrant issued against a current president in South Korea. According to local media reports

last Monday South Korean investigators have requested an arrest warrant for Yoon. for imposing short-lived martial law this month.

Yoon is facing a criminal investigation on possible riot charges.
