A frightening scene occurred in the Miami Dolphins-Houston Texans game on Sunday when wide receiver Grant DuBose had to be stretchered off the field and had his shirt and pads removed. and removed his face mask and helmet after being heavily attacked.

The game had to be suspended for 12 minutes while medical staff assessed the situation and decided to remove DuBose’s shirt and pads before placing him on a stretcher to leave the field. Every Dolphins player and staff member not joining DuBose knelt in a circle to pray for their teammate.

Head coach Mike McDaniel of the Dolphins and DeMeco Ryans of the Texans also hugged as the scene played out.

DuBose left the game with what is officially called a head injury.

For the season, DuBose has one catch for 13 yards, his first against the Buffalo Bills on 9/12.

The Dolphins ended up losing this matchup to the Texans 20-12 in a game they needed to win for a playoff result.
