A woman in Alaska has been convicted of murdering her court-appointed supervisor, police said.

Authorities said Huss was found in the Turnagain Pass rest area, prompting police to investigate. He was shot four times with a .45 caliber handgun and hit by a vehicle, police said.
Further investigation revealed that Huss had been appointed by a judge to be Dayan’s third caretaker, a condition of her being released on bail.
Authorities said Huss was last seen carrying Dayan out of jail with plans to drive to Anchorage to work at Huss’ food truck.

The hunt for Dayan has begun. And she was arrested on October 1, 2020.
Officials said Dayan received a .45 caliber handgun after her release from prison.
Police also noted damage to Dayan’s car, which was “consistent with the one used in the attack on Huss”, police said.
“A review of Mr Huss’s bank account revealed that Dayan had used his bank account to make purchases for himself. and transferred hundreds of dollars from his bank account to her after his death,” police said.

Tyler Jones of the Special Prosecutor’s Office said he hopes the conviction will bring closure to the Huss family.
“We are grateful that the jury held Sarah Dayan accountable for her crimes. We hope that Keith’s loved ones will be able to find closure in light of this decision,” Jones said.

Dayan is being held without bail pending sentencing. and is punishable by imprisonment from 15 to 99 years.
