Georgia quarterback Carson Beck declares for NFL Draft after undergoing elbow surgery


Carson Beck’s college career has officially ended.

at Georgia quarterback Beck took to social media on Saturday to announce his decision to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, just five days after Beck had season-ending elbow surgery.

“The past five years at the University of Georgia have been a dream come true. And I will always treasure the memories I made,” Beck said in an Instagram post.

“Thank you Dawg Nation for the time I have been here and to those who supported and believed in me. Thank you. It has been an incredible journey and all of these moments have led me to finally take the next step in my football career. As already mentioned I’m announcing my 2025 NFL Draft names!”

Beck was injured in the first half of the Bulldogs’ overtime victory. north texas in the SEC championship game earlier this month.

He had surgery on Monday to repair the ulnar ligament in his throwing arm. and expects to start pitching in the spring.

“I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to play the game I love, through all the ups, downs, highs and lows, everything this game has produced and provided. “I am very grateful to my family and close ones for the support they have given me during this journey. They always have my back no matter the situation. And I can’t thank them enough for that.”
