The House of Representatives is planning to vote on another CR proposal on Friday morning to avoid an impending partial government shutdown. GOP Legislators told reporters on Capitol Hill.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., spoke to reporters outside Speaker Mike’s office. Johnson said lawmakers They are “very close to reaching an agreement” and could vote at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
“I don’t believe the government will shut down. You’re going to see some great things that are very similar to President Trump’s plan from yesterday,” the congresswoman said.

Legislation to avert a partial government shutdown has been supported by Trump. It failed to pass the House of Representatives on Thursday night. The bill needed a two-thirds majority of the House of Representatives to pass, but it couldn’t even get a simple majority. Two Democrats voted with a Republican majority to pass the bill. And 38 GOP lawmakers oppose it.
