Archon Shards may be the last part of the game you create. But don’t let that deter you from getting them early if you can.
Archon Shards are used to upgrade your Warframe through the Helminth system. They can be embedded in your Warframe, granting you additional bonuses such as ability strength, duration, efficiency, and cast speed. Among many other benefits, it works as a supplement to standard and Arcanes mods, allowing you to set your minimum/max build in the late game.
How to get Crimson, Azure and Amber Archon Fragments
To be able to use Archon Shards, you’ll first need to play and complete the Veilbreaker mission, which you’ll only be able to access after completing The New War.
To earn Archon Shards, you can complete the weekly Archon Hunt. Accessible from the mission bar at the top right of the navigation menu once the Veilbreak mission is completed, the type of fragment that drops depends on the Archon you are hunting. These will rotate each week. Amar drops Crimson, Nira drops Amber, and Boreal drops Azure. There’s also a chance Shard may drop a more powerful version of Tau. which increases the effect
The standard chance for this is 20%, although there’s an unfortunate system in place that increases the chance of your next same-colored piece dropping by another 20%. This stacks up each time. It then resets when a Tau Archon Shard drops.
You can also get Crimson, Amber, and Azure Shards by completing Netracells or Deep Archimedea in Albrecht’s Laboratory on Deimos. Visiting Bird 3 in Sanctum Anatomica will allow you to purchase a random Shard each week for 30,000 Cavia Standing, a Syndicate. stuck in that area
How to get Violet, Topaz and Emerald Archon Shards
Helminth can be expanded with a function called Coalescent Fusion, which allows you to combine Archon Shards to create new ones. You can purchase the blueprint for the Helminth Coalescent Segment from Bird 3 in Sanctum Anatomica. Once you reach the rank of researcher with the Cavia Syndicate, it will cost 30,0000 USD. You will need the following resources to craft it:
- 50,000 credits
- 50 stela
- 5 Echovoka
- 5 Entrance to Lantra
- 25 Necra Coil
Once you’ve built it in Foundry, go to Helminth and it will install automatically. It adds two new icons to the top right corner of the screen: Archon Shards, Coalescent Fusion, and Ascent Fusion. Coalescent Fusion lets you mix Shards together to create new colors, while Ascent Fusion lets you mix three standard Shards. of the same color to create Tau Shards of that color.
You can mix the following colors to create Violet, Topaz, and Emerald Shard:
- Dark red + blue = purple
- Crimson + Amber = Topaz
- Amber + Blue = Emerald
