Check if messages are archived (Google Messages)
If you have an Android phone or a Google Account, you can use Google Messages as your primary messaging platform. Here’s how to check if your messages are archived in Google Messages.

- open Google Message app
- your tap Profile icon next to the search icon
- choose Archived
- Press and hold the message. Do you want to restore
- Tap on Unarchive button in the upper right corner

Check the Recycle Bin (Samsung Messages)

If you use a Samsung-powered smartphone, your messages can be stored on Samsung’s operating system. Recycling trash Up to 30 days If you’re using a Samsung smartphone, here’s how to check the built-in Trash app to see if your messages are in it:
- open Message app
- Tap on three point menu in the upper right corner
- choose Recycling trash
- choose Deleted messages Do you want to restore
- touch Restore to bring them back to your message list.

Use a third-party recovery app
If you don’t have a backup and your messages are permanently deleted. You may still have a chance to recover using a third-party Android data recovery app. You can find Kurt’s data recovery software here.– Different apps have different features. So please pay close attention to which third-party recovery solution suits your needs.
Restore from backup

If you backed up your phone to Google Drive, you may be able to restore the backup to recover deleted messages. Please note that restoring a backup may overwrite existing data on your phone. Here’s how to check and see if you have a Google Drive backup for your smartphone:

- open Google Drive on your smartphone or go to drive.google.com
- On Google Drive, select Storage space Options from the lower left corner
- Tap on Backup to view Android backups attached to your Google Drive.

Hopefully Gloria can help you recover your lost Android messages. Backing up your data regularly to prevent future data loss is always a good idea. If you have an Android smartphone, I highly recommend using Google Drive to back up your phone. This way, you can always access the backup within your Google account. If you can’t find deleted messages in your phone’s trash or recycle bin Don’t be alarmed. You can still get deleted data back with third-party programs. But you should check the program features before paying.
