Jennifer Love Hewitt is fighting ageism in Hollywood.
Hewitt, though, has been in the limelight for decades. But she responded to critics who scrutinized her appearance as she grew up in the industry.
“Age is age,” she told Fox News Digital. “I think women are really getting into it… Self-acceptance and comfort in your 40s is so beautiful.”

Although the star of “The Holiday Junkie” says she loves her current age. But she confesses that the biggest challenge is the public’s reaction to her aging.
“A difficult time for me… I feel like fans choose… this age that they love that they think represents you. And you shouldn’t grow beyond that,” she explained while quoting Taylor Swift.
As for Hewitt, she found that fans mostly praised her for who she was in her 20s. Hewitt is known for her role in the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” franchise, in which she starred opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. including “Heartbreakers” opposite Sigourney Weaver and the classic film ‘Can’t’ can’t wait.”

“For me… It’s like me and my 20’s… people seem to have a really hard time accepting that… I don’t look at it that way anymore,” the 45-year-old admitted.

“It’s hard because I think as a human being, We want to develop… We want lines on the face. And did you know that our breasts sag from breastfeeding? Or you know, our butts are bigger,” she said, laughing.
“Whatever it is. You just want to be free to be whoever you want at that age. And sometimes it hurts when people reject you like you said on Instagram or on the internet. Because they have a hard time adjusting to it.”
last year The “Party of Five” actress responded to claims that she “can’t remember” after sharing photos on social media.

Hewitt chose to add filters to the photos she posted. Because she didn’t wear any makeup. and was met with disgusting comments and headlines that suggested she looked completely different.
“That picture ends up somewhere. And a certain amount of people were like, ‘Jennifer Love Hewitt is unrecognizable,’” she said on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast.

“’She is unrecognizable. So she went for a filter because she really didn’t want us to know. And now that you’re 40, how terrible do you look?’ And I was like, ‘What? ‘This is crazy,’ right?”
Hewitt previously noted the irony that at such a young age, She still doesn’t fully understand the meaning of the word sexy. She appeared on the cover of Maxim when she was just 17 years old.
Now, the Hollywood actress’ perspective on how fans view her has changed since she became a mother of three.
“I have a daughter. I’m sensitive to it because I don’t want my child to read those things and feel that way… Or worry that I will be hurt by it… Sometimes it’s hard to do that.”

The Lifetime movie, which was directed by Hewitt and was her first Christmas movie. It focuses on her character Andie, who goes on holiday during a difficult time after the loss of her mother.

Her character, though, faced difficult times. But her spirits are lifted when she meets an unexpected Christmas love.
Her on-screen love interest is played by her real-life husband, Brian Hallisay. The pair first met on the set of Lifetime’s Love Bites and married in November 2013. They have three children together: Autumn, 11, Atticus, 9, and Aidan, 3.

Hewitt has been acting since childhood and told Fox News Digital the advice she would give to her younger self.
“I have always been a worrier,” she notes. “I’m just always worried… I really enjoyed this job and (thought) it would be my last job or… People would kick me out of Hollywood. and won’t let me act anymore.”
“Or maybe I’m being stupid… whatever. I’m just always worried… I enjoy it and live with it… Having a good time and all that. But I wasted a lot of time worrying. And I think I Just talk to her like, ‘Look, this will work out. You’re starting to get old. And they still let you do things… nevermind’
