Cody Rhodes retained his undisputed WWE Championship with a victory over Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event in New York, but the fireworks really began. After the competition is over
Rhodes used a chair that Owens had brought into the match. After two referees were knocked out He hit the patented Cross Rhodes Maneuver after Owens missed with a chair shot. As “The American Nightmare” celebrated, Owens returned to the ring to attack the champion.

As Owens made his way to the gorilla position, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque confronted Owens. Levesque shoved Owens as the two stared at each other. WWE security had to separate the two while Levesque went to check on Rhodes.
This was the second time Owens used the pile driver package on a SmackDown superstar. He used it on Randy Orton, which caused Orton to get down and out. and even carried it out of the stadium on a stretcher.
It’s unclear what the future holds for both Owens and Rhodes afterward.
Elsewhere, Chelsea Green made history with victory over Mishin. Green rolls onto Mishin’s back in the corner. Then attacks with her incredibly unattractive move and picks up a pinfall.
