Lily-Rose Depp wants to maintain her ‘anonymity’

Lily-Rose Depp was born into Hollywood royalty.

Daughter of “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor johnny depp and French model Vanessa Paradis, who stars in the upcoming thriller “Nosferatu.” But she was reluctant to fully embrace the world of celebrity despite being in her own company.

She added: “People are always interested in things they shouldn’t be interested in, and . . . an actor’s job is to get into a character and melt into it. And make the audience believe that you are this character.

“In order to be able to do that. It is important to protect your sense of anonymity. They shouldn’t know ‘you’ that well because you want them to believe you as another character.”

When her co-star Nicholas Holt admitted that her red carpet appearance was “Absolutely terrifying,” Depp assured him. “It means you’re a good person.”

“That’s like a sign of being nice and humble,” she said. The job is to be someone else and almost leave yourself behind – and get into someone else’s skin and do it in an intimate atmosphere (on set).

“On the one hand, it feels personal. It’s like an intimate place, and suddenly you have to like go out into the world and be very public. It is an interesting conflict.”

Depp has starred in several films, including “Crisis”, “Voyagers”, “Silent Night” and last year’s “Wolf”. She starred in the HBO series “The Idol” alongside Abel Tesfaye, popularly known as singer The Weeknd.

“I just hear this more and more about women. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence.”
