Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce is speaking out just over 24 hours after his team suffered a painful loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday.
Pierce, who is in his first full season as Raiders head coach, told the media that the Raiders believe the referee blew his whistle before the ill-fated fumble on a bad call. In the case of blowing the whistle The play in question will be sentenced to death.
Pierce also noted that the Raiders intend to submit video evidence to support their claims to the NFL office for further review.

after the Raiders’ defense forced the Chiefs to punt with two minutes left in the game. Las Vegas was able to quickly get into position to attempt a game-winning field goal, but the Raiders had a costly opportunity on third down at the Kansas City 38-yard line with just 15 seconds remaining.

Riders Center Steal the ball prematurely As defender Aidan O’Connell surveyed the Chiefs’ defense, the ball bounced off O’Connell and onto the turf. The Raiders signal caller was unable to arrest the damaging snap and the Chiefs recovered it.
The referee threw a flag on the play and penalized the Raiders for the illegal conversion. But Kansas City decided to decline the penalty as they regained liquidity. The NFL states that a false start will be assessed if the clock is running at an incorrectly managed time.
Patrick Mahomes then knelt to let the final seconds tick off the clock.
O’Connell bears the blame for the mishap on a crucial play.
“It was completely my fault,” the sophomore said. “I looked to my right to make sure people were ready and started clapping. In my head I was thinking to signal the ball to receive the ball. But when I started clapping It told Jackson to snap the ball,” exactly what he was supposed to do. And I clapped my hands too fast.
“… extremely difficult, but there’s no one to blame but myself, so that was probably the hardest part to swallow.”
