Shacknews Most Overlooked Game of 2024 – Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown


An overlooked game can mean more than one thing. In some cases, it might be an under-the-radar indie story that deserves more exposure and a bigger player base. It could be a multiplayer festival and has the potential to grow if more people give it a chance. It might be a blockbuster that just happened to get lost in the swarm of bigger blockbusters. and is overshadowed by the never-ending discourse of gamers. This year’s most overlooked games fall closest to the latter category. By capturing people’s hearts in January But it was almost forgotten by the end of December. It’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

With the long-awaited Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake continually being delayed, some fans have understandably given up on the long-running franchise as a whole. However, Ubisoft surprised everyone. With the new part in this series Telling the story of a new hero battling another evil, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is something fans didn’t know they wanted until they got it. Take them on a new Metroidvania adventure with captivating battles. A major quality of life improvement for this type of game. and has included the classic Prince of Persia game that is the highlight of this franchise.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown received critical acclaim. This includes a score of 9 at Shacknews It was a short talk. About the game world when it was released So what happened? This can be attributed to a few things. The game’s heyday was short-lived, though. Much of it is part of the discourse about games. But the January release date didn’t help sales. The Lost Crown game quickly became “out of sight, out of mind” and its flaws led to the cancellation of development team Ubisoft Montpellier. The news isn’t all bad. Because this hugely talented development team hopes to take their talents to other Ubisoft games, like the aforementioned Sands of Time Remake or the Rayman remake.

However, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a game that deserves more celebration. It is possible to be an important and visible critic of a gaming city and still remain overlooked. This is definitely the case. As we named one of our favorite games of 2024, it was Shacknews’ most overlooked game.
